Kami Apparel intertwines the elegance of traditional Japanese culture with the vibrancy of contemporary fashion, creating a unique narrative with each piece. Born from a love for storytelling through textiles, our Barcelona-based brand is a homage to sustainable fashion, infused with the essence of Ukiyo-e, Shintoism, Buddhism, and Irezumi. Our commitment to "0KM" local production reflects our dedication to quality, sustainability, and community support, embodying a fashion philosophy that respects both heritage and the environment.

The beginnings

In 2023 we launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter called "The Dawn of Wabori", introducing our inaugural collection of silk and cotton Hawaiian shirts, under the creative guidance of Sen Kawamura, a Japanese artist based in Barcelona. We celebrated a successful campaign that resonated with backers worldwide, marking the beginning of our journey to redefine fashion with a blend of art, culture, and eco-conscious practices.
